Do You Know The "Flat Belly" Foods?

May 15, 2010 - 8:18 pm 18 Comments

I don’t know about the flat belly at this stage in life….but I do like all of these foods!

Meet the 5 Flat Belly Foods

These ingredients hold the power to truly transform your body, not to mention lengthen your life. The secret is their magical "MUFA" (Aka good fat!)
There are five major categories of MUFAs: (1) oils, (2) nuts and seeds, (3) avocado, (4) olives, and (5) chocolate.

I HAVE heard about that. Plus my grandfather always had a flat belly and he ate nuts every day. He also liked oils and olives and every now and then some chocolate. He was a tall man – didn’t really do formal excercise and always had a flat belly. Hmm. Interesting.

my son had to have his colon removed and I have noticed that starchy foods make his belly swell is that normal?

May 10, 2010 - 8:28 pm 2 Comments

I have noticed that when my son eats potatoes or some of the other starchy foods his belly swells…He has been admitted into the hospital 2 times in 3 weeks and I dont know what to do, do you think that starchy foods could have something to do with the swelling?

Does he have a colostomy? Or does he have a gastric bypass ?
Are you sure he had his whole colon removed or is it not only a partial colon resection?. The diet after gastric bypass surgery is impt . Avoid ALL spongy starchy foods, breads, cakes, bagels they expand in your .stomach. which acount for the swollen abdomen. ..

UNDERSTANDING DUMPING SYNDROME

Dumping syndrome occurs in many gastric bypass patients when sweet foods like juice, soda, sugar sweetened beverages, cakes, cookies and pies are eaten. The food passes too quickly into the small intestine and causes symptoms such as: nausea or queasiness, a sense of fullness accompanied by discomfort, cramping, diarrhea, general weakness, profuse sweating, vomiting, and heart palpitations (an increase in heart rate). Most patients experience a combination of these symptoms. Usually the symptoms will subside in about an hour. Most patients find the symptoms are alleviated after they lie down for a while. Dumping syndrome is not dangerous, but it is quite unpleasant.

Some patients “eat through” the dumping syndrome and they are eventually able to tolerate calorie dense foods in smaller quantities. Given this is a lifestyle change, it is important to avoid these calorie dense foods from the beginning and develop healthier alternatives to eating.

No food and belly fat? strange huh?

May 8, 2010 - 3:10 am 3 Comments

Where’s the problem?
I have a cup of milk every morning and walk to my university(about 1,5 km) And I’m having a juice for the lunch, sometimes a donut too. And I don’t eat much in the evening either. But I have belly fat and no time for gym! and I’m really weak physically. What should I do to be thin and healthy?
And by the way there are no P.E. classes in my univer.

well for one you arent eating…….because you arent eating you feel weak and therefore you wont have the strength to burn off the calories (if you even take in any) which YOU NEED TO! to lose the weight….. by not eating it will make you more bloated than if you were eating healthy and burning off the calories you eat….. you NEED TO EAT!!! thats all there is to it. stop starving yourself.

Fire belly newts will take live insects including crickets, wax worms, and bloodworms. Make sure the prey is small enough for the newt to eat it. Some will eat fish food such as shrimp pellets, brine shrimp, or turtle floating food sticks.

Xavier Rudd playing the Pageant in St. Louis, MO on 08/08/09. Food in the Belly which turns into a drum and bass jam with Xavier running in front of me at about 5 minutes, then through the crowd on the floor, and eventually back on stage. He busts out some Aborigenal moves, leads the crowd in some call and response, then heads to his rig to bring back the groove and close out the jam.

Why does my belly swell so badly when I eat or drink a little?

May 5, 2010 - 8:30 am 6 Comments

I eat several small, vegetarian meals a day. When I wake up in the morning, my belly is not really fat, but not toned either.

But when I drink a little water or juice, eat a little food my belly swells like someone malnourished or something. It is really gross.

If you’re only eating vegetarian, are you getting enough protein? Too many sweet carbs in fruit could be doing this too you. Plus, never skimp on water! Opt for water before juices and pop.
