What would you choose for a 3 month old a stationary entertainer or a swing?

May 15, 2010 - 8:18 pm 7 Comments

My son has a gym ( which he likes but only stays there for 20 minutes) he also has a rocker but he doesn’t seems to like as much as before. My husband and I don’t know what to get for him we love the stationary entertainer but we aren’t sure which one the baby will prefer. ( our house is small so don’t have too much space for as lot of stuff) What would you recommend?

the stationary entertainer, definitely. Maverick is 3 months as well and he has almost outgrown his swing (and he doesn’t like sitting in it very long like he did when he was a new baby) but he loves his exersaucer/stationary entertainer and would play in it all day if I let him. Swings are great to have when you have a brand new baby, but at this age its kind of a waste to buy since your baby will soon outgrow it or be bored of it.

You might also try a bumbo seat or bebepod. We have one and Mav loves it. It has a tray and a toy that sits on the tray to play with and the chair itself also teaches him to sit (and we plan to use it as a bath seat when he outgrows his infant tub). Plus its very compact (doesn’t take up near as much space as a swing or exersaucer) and many people use them as high chairs to feed their baby in when the baby is older.

Who is the best children’s birthday party entertainer in Tokyo?

May 12, 2010 - 3:52 pm 1 Comment

I’m looking for an entertainer for my son’s 6th birthday party.
He loves comedy, juggling and magic.
I’ve seen one magician who is old and tired looking and another with sloppy makeup. Neither really connected well with the kids so I’m wondering WHO is the best children’s birthday party entertainer in Tokyo? A bi-lingual (English / Japanese) performer would be best. Thanks in advance!

The VERY BEST family entertainer In Tokyo is GUIDO.
www.supagaijin.com
It’s amazing how he engages kids of all ages and keeps the parents entertained at the same time. He has performed at my son’s last 3 b-day parties and we are all huge GUIDO fans at our house! My son and his mates copy GUIDO’s jokes and magic routines all year round! Hiro-cun and most of his classmates are bilingual and GUIDO is too. He is really silly / and very funny in both languages. I just can’t say enough good things about him! He’s not the cheapest entertainer in town, but he is the best. He is generous with his time and flexible with his programs – so it’s well worth the extra money. Hiro-cun’s Mom
PS: He also does a lot of TV commercials and is kind of famous here in Japan.

What does it take to be an adult film entertainer?

May 10, 2010 - 8:28 pm 1 Comment

In all honesty and seriousness, what does it take to be an adult film entertainer (porn star)? I’m not saying that I necessarily want to be one, I’m just curious and I’m asking a hypothetical question.

Also what are the pros and cons?

It takes an appreciation for the art!

What types of features should an entertainer get on a new computer they get?

May 8, 2010 - 3:10 am 3 Comments

what types of features should an entertainer in the business get on their new computer?

what type of computer should they get?

laptop? Desktop?

Features:
– great security to protect any personal info.
(this can include a physical bar behind the pc in which a chain can be attached, I’ve seen these on laptops and desktops in hospitals)
– also need a secure password of 8 or more letters and numbers that he/she knows plus 1 trusted family member or place the pw in a safe.
– for entertainment, fast video, and fast internet loading.

Type: Usually a Dell if you don’t plan to make it yourself, I always make my own pc’s.
Dell has a nice 3 yr warranty which you should get too.
You would definitely need 1 to 2 firewalls among your protection software. Among the best firewalls for personal use are Black Ice Defender.

Plus 2 or more antivirus programs, and 2 or more anti spy / anti rootkit programs.

Most likely Vista will be your operating system which will perform better than XP for a dual core or quad core pc.

As for hardware:
- an Intel CPU, dual or quad core.
- 4 gigs or better of memory
- a video card with 256 to 512 megs of memory
- At least 2 hard drives that are SATA-2, one drive will be your main and the 2nd drive to install programs onto other than Vista, plus telling Vista’s browser to place the internet files folder and cookie folder onto the 2nd hard drive.
- The hard drives should be NTFS partitioned for best security.

- 22 inch or better LCD monitor, look for a 1080 specification and Vista ready drivers.

Laptop if he/she does a lot of travel

Desktop if they don’t intend to check their pc on trips.

How much money can I make as an adult entertainer in New York City?

May 5, 2010 - 1:07 pm 1 Comment

I am planning to move to New York very soon and I have never been. I am moving to chase my big dreams. I am an adult entertainer and I would like to know how well do adult entertainers do in New York City?

Assuming you work for yourself and aren’t paying part of your wages to a *cough* disreputable type who gets you the job, you can earn $200 to $400 a night if you are attractive and desirable.

OST – ‘The Sting’

‘The Sting’, a deliciously clever crime/comedy was directed by one-time Oscar winning director George Roy Hill, and featured both Robert Redford in Paul Newman as leading actors.

The title soundtrack from Marvin Hamlisch was based on Scott Joplin’s ‘The Entertainer’, however, despite carrying the same name, the music is often simply referred to as ‘The Sting’ as people tend to associate it to the film. A witty tune fits a witty movie, so it’s only logical.
